Jeff currently works with a variety of artists, from singer/songwriters to film composers to theatre writers. He is in production on a contemporary Blues based album of original songs and has recently completed recording two full books of music from Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. He just completed creating and recording all of the drum and percussion parts to two original works, Hannigan and Jack Straw, An American Outlaw. Jeff brings the same passion and drive to film and song, always looking for the sweet spot in the music where things feel and sound right.
“Being in a room with live musicians, building from the ground up is always the best, but not always possible. Fortunately, collaborating via technology still allows for real time ideas to be worked out; and those ideas are as fruitful as if we were physically in the same room. I work with artists locally, in Boston, Charlotte, Detroit – all over the country – and the values are still the same. Even if we can’t be in the same room or city, we create great music.”
Jeff records out of his home studio in Northern California and has a rich assortment of drums, cymbals, percussion pieces and more. “As a musician, I want listeners to be moved by and connect to what we make for them; I want producers and engineers to love the grooves and sounds; I want film composers to value the difference that live orchestral instruments bring; and I especially want songwriters to enjoy the exploration of sonic spaces that our collaboration produces.”
